Gunshot-like noises during Trump’s speech – lead bloody from the podium

Gunshot-like sounds have been heard in connection with Donald Trump’s speech in Pennsylvania, shortly after midnight Swedish time. 

Bodyguards rush onto the stage as Trump throws himself to the ground. Shortly after, he stands up with what appears to be blood on his face, and is led off the podium with one fist clenched in the air.

In a statement, Trump says that he is “doing well” and that he is being examined in a hospital.

Turmoil arose in connection with Donald Trump giving a speech in Pennsylvania, USA.

Videos circulating on social media show how gunshot-like sounds are heard in the middle of Trump’s performance.

The ex-president reacts quickly to the sounds. Footage shows him grabbing his ear before quickly throwing himself to the floor, while security personnel rush onto the stage.

The bodyguards hold the ex-president down on the floor before he is taken down from the podium. When Trump stands up, he is seen several times clenching his fist in the air and shouting.

According to CNN, Donald Trump was injured in the incident, however, it is unknown how or what injuries he has received. Footage from the speech shows what appears to be blood on one of Trump’s ears and cheek.

The area has been emptied and cordoned off.

Trump: “Feeling well”
In a statement, Donald Trump states that he is “feeling good” and that he is being examined in a hospital, AP reports.

The Secret Service says in a statement that it has taken protective measures and that Trump is safe.

“This is an ongoing investigation by the Secret Service and additional information will be released as it becomes available,” said Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesman for the Secret Service.

Joe Biden has been briefed

President Joe Biden has been informed of the incident, the White House announces.

Shooter dead

The shooter has been killed in connection with the incident. One bystander is “confirmed dead,” and “possibly a second” bystander is also dead, Butler County District Attorney Richard A. Goldinger told ABC News.
