Three people have been arrested after the fatal shooting in Bagarmossen on July 9. A 16-year-old boy died as a result of the act. Two of the detainees are minors.
The arrests are said to have taken place this weekend. Two of the detainees are under the age of 18 and are suspected of involvement in the shooting. The third person, who is over 18, is suspected of protecting a criminal.
– Now the investigative work continues with technical examination, DNA tracing and questioning. The police are asking for additional witnesses who may have made observations in connection with the incident, says senior prosecutor Daniel Insulander in a press release.
It was during Tuesday night last week that the police received an alert about suspected shooting in the area in southern Stockholm. Once there, a badly injured teenage boy was found outside.
When the police got there, members of the public had started to give first aid and shortly afterwards the person was taken to hospital. He later died of his injuries.
The incident has previously been classified as a murder.
