Last week, Norway presented a proposal for a change in the law, to be able to introduce a 15-year limit on social media.
Lilla Aktuellt has asked the parties in Sweden’s Riksdag if they can consider legislating an age limit on social media.
The answers they received were that L, KD, S and SD were positively inclined to introduce such a law.
“We know that it can easily take time and attention from schoolwork and physical activity”, says Teresa Carvalho (S), legal policy spokesperson.
The other parties, M, C, V and MP do not agree that it should be legislated.
“The companies that have social media must be aware of the age limits they already have.
Then the parents must actually have responsibility”, says Niels Paarup-Petersen (C), digitalisation spokesperson.
