The lawyer is suspected of stomping his wife in the stomach in front of their children. The crimes are said to have been committed, among other things, in hotels in Stockholm and Borlänge. Now he is being prosecuted for gross violations of women’s peace and several cases of violations of child peace.
The lawyer, a man in his 50s, has had assignments in several high-profile trials. In August, he himself was detained by the Falu district court for several serious crimes.
On Tuesday, the charges against the lawyer came. The item gross violation of women’s rights includes seven cases of assault and two cases of illegal threats against his wife.
”Every act was suffered in a repeated violation”, the indictment says.
Among other things, the lawyer has beaten the woman so that an eyebrow burst, kicked her so that she fell to the floor and stomped her in the stomach, according to the indictment. He also allegedly threatened to kill the woman and said he will cut her throat if she expresses herself in certain ways, according to suspicions.
Denies the suspicions
The crimes are said to have been committed in 2024 and 2025, including in hotels in Borlänge and Stockholm.
Several of the cases of assault and intimidation have taken place in front of the couple’s children, according to the indictment. The lawyer is therefore charged with six counts of breach of child peace.
Among the evidence, the prosecutor presents, among other things, interviews with witnesses from a hotel as well as audio and video recordings where it must be clear that the lawyer threatened and beat his wife.
The man’s lawyer Alexander Berglund states that his client denies all suspicions directed at him.
