A couple from western Gästrikland were detained on suspicion of probable cause for a crime after being arrested at Stockholm’s central station with a suspected bomb on Wednesday.
It is supposed to be a man in his 30s and a woman in his 35s who were arrested on Wednesday evening in connection with the alarm of a suspected bomb at Stockholm Central Station, according to P4 Gävleborg.
Now the couple is being held on suspicion of probable cause for violating the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods, as well as for preparation for gross public-dangerous devastation.
– The suspects will now be detained for four weeks until August 9, says Robin Simonsson from the Public Prosecutor’s Office’s press service.
The man and the woman have both previously been convicted of less serious crimes.
SVT has previously sought prosecutor Carolina Frohm, who is leading the preliminary investigation, without succeeding in reaching her.
Through their lawyers, both deny crimes, according to TT.
